Rise of the planet of the apes is about a doctor who decides to use formulas to improve the brain function of apes. When he perfects a formula but the formula could be more than what was bargained for. The ape was raised by humans for eight years and because of an event that happened he has to go live in an ape sanctuary. He eventually finds a way to get out and help others.

This movie was well made! The story line was great, it is the type of movie that you have to watch the whole thing straight through or you will lose your place. The acting was fantastic! I recommend this movie to most, it is not a type of movie that children would enjoy watching because the story is too complex for kids to understand.

Cancer. A very deadly disease that affects many each year. What happens when a film maker tries to make a comedy about it? In the film 50/50 the main character is told that he has a form of cancer and only has a 50/50 shot to live. He tells his best friend and his best friend tries to use his cancer as an excuse to do fun things and try to get rid of the cancer.

This movie had some funny parts but it can be hard to laugh sometimes because you know the movie is about cancer. It does have some scenes that are serious but the aim was more towards comical. This would be a good movie to watch when you are at home and looking for something different.

The Three Musketeers

A young man leaves his home from France to go be a part of the Musketeers and help win the war.

I really liked this movie! It had lots of action with romance and drama! A fun film to see with friends! Orlando Bloom plays the good guy and the villain which I found amusing. My favorite character though was mi-lady, a very good double agent. The costumes fit to the era which they were trying to achieve and the storyline was impressive. The actors seemed talented and made the movie.

Columbiana

A girl growing up to be an assassin? YES! Columbiana is about a girl who has to deal with the death of a family member and decides to become an assassin to take revenge on the man who killed her father.

This movie was a fun assassin movie that keeps you intrigued. I liked the costumes and how the character Columbiana had a purpose for what she was doing. In the end there was only one thing that I did not enjoy about this film, it did not achieve anything. Throughout the film I was enjoying it but the ending killed it because it made the rest of the film feel irrelevant because of the ending.

Footloose

The new version of FootLoose has been set in Georgia in cotton country. The film starts with a scene that provides the tragedy that makes the movie. When the son of a daughter of Bomont, Georgia comes to Bomont the movie begins to develop story. The Town shows the newcomer less than a warm welcome due to the lack of understanding about the recent history. Yet the raw emotions that caused the town to pass the laws that forbade typical youth activities led to other more divisive activities.

The film normalized underage drinking, while outlawing dancing, accepted promiscuity, while outlawing music and it being played at loud levels. The messages of the movie though were weighted with more than negative models. The film also showed that while government can flex its power and be condescending to little guy there are solutions that allow the little guy to win if he has the desire and strength, and utilizes his resources effectively.

I give the film 3.5 stars out of five. I found that the film had strong pros to start and then the plot developed from there. The characters made sense and were keenly aware of what they were and where they wanted to be. The characters provided the clashes that make the movie work. The film was fun and entertaining and makes for a nice date night as long as you are not looking for an adrenaline rush, or a tear jerk moment.

MoneyBall

Money ball is the story of Billy Bean and his career. The title money ball refers to making money from baseball. They do this based on players stats.

This movie was well done. It was slow at parts but definitely enjoyable! One of the major things that I enjoyed was that they used clips from old games in the film. The story line was well put together. The actors were good picks, Jonah Hill made a good performance in this film!

Dream House

The perfect family moves into this new house in a great neighborhood. Little do they know the secret within the house that people that lived in the house were killed.

The trailer was misleading in this movie, By the trailer you expect a thriller but that was not the case with this film. It was more of a psychological movie. I did like the twists that were put in there because some of the things you had no idea that it was coming. One of the things that was not my favorite was how much attention you had to pay to the film because it gets confusing around the middle of the film. This was a good movie but not a must see in the theaters.

Two criminals who need money kidnap the pizza delivery guy, strap a bomb to his chest and tell him he only has a limited amount of time to rob the bank and deliver the money and if he doesn't do it in the time alloted or he chickens out then the bomb will go off.

The movie definitley had a Jessie Eisenberg feel. If you have seen any other Jessie Eisenberg movies, you know what I am talking about. I do have to admit it had a good storyline but the special effects were really fake which actually made the movie more enjoyable. This is a fun movie to go see with friends!

The Change-Up

What happens when a family guy switches bodies with a ladies man? A lot of mixed up situations, with unusual ways of resolving them. From the same people who made the hangover and wedding crashers.

This movie was the same concept of Freaky Friday but with best friends and instead of opening fortune cookies, they peed in a fountain. This movie had some really funny parts but alot of unnessacary nudity. It would be a good movie for a late night or even a redbox, It wasn't a bad one in theaters but if you are looking to save money, you won't be missing a whole lot by waiting.

Crazy, Stupid, Love

Now Cal spends each free evening sulking alone at the bar, Until a guy decides to take Cal under his wings and make him a ladies man.

This movie was great! The storyline was well developed and the actors fit with the characters. There were alot of unexpected shocks which helped the movie and the title matches the movie! I would reccomend this as date movie!

Terri

Terri is the story of a kid who ends up in the vice principals office for showing up late and only wearing pajama bottoms to school but ends up gaining a relationship between the two characters.

You may be thinking that I gave this movie a harsh rating and I did for a reason. This movie has good cinematography but the movie line its self lost it. This movie had great potential! They could have made a tragic event happen to make you feel something but that never happened. They gave situations and scenerios but never went into how or why those situations were there and never offered a solution. The characters could have been better developed to show why they are the way that they are. Another that I found unusual in this film is that there wasn't much enforcement that happened around the school. They also never said whether they were in high school or middle school. They had middle school looks but some high school behaviors. The one thing that I did enjoy about the film is that the emotions were realistic and you felt like you could put yourself in the characters shoes for a moment. It was an independent film so it won't be a big success. This movie might be worth redboxing if you are curious about how the story ends but not one that I would say pay $10 to see.

Friends With Benefits

This movie had a good amount of drama, comedy, and fun! I loved the storyline! Alot of people had said this will be jsut like no strings attached which I did see that movie and it had a similar idea but they defenitley were not the same! I would reccomend this movie as a date movie because there are some scenes guys will like and a storyline that girls will like.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows-Part 2

The end to the film that is one of the biggest successes in the world begins. Harry, Ron, and Hermoine go on a quest to find the three remaining horcruxes responsible for voldemorts immortality.

This movie was amazing!!! The casting was great,costumes were good, sets were great, and special effects were fantastic!! The storyline was very well written! And the music was good as always. There were some parts that were dragged out though which made the rating what it is. If you are a Harry Potter fan then I reccomend seeing it in the theater! 3-D made the movie really cool! Most things in 3-D aren't worth the money but I do have to say that this one was a good one for 3-D! If you aren't that big of a Harry Potter fan, I would still reccomend seeing it at a matinee showing because the theater feeling for this movie gives you chills!

Bad Teacher

When a junior-high teacher who doesn't care about her job gets dumped by her wealthy fiance she is forced to go back and doesn't change her ways. She finds a rich guy who starts working there and starts hitting on him. She gets in shape when she finds out that there is $5,700 on the line which could help her get a boob job to woo the new guy.

This film was funny and had a well thought out storyline. This one would be good to see in the theater or on DVD. The actors did a good job in the roles that they were placed in.

Horrible Bosses

When 3 guys get togethere and complain about their bosses the make a plan to kill their bosses thinking that it will make their lives better.

This film was stupid! The storyline was not that good. When there were funny parts you were laughing really hard but for the rest of the movie you just sit there bored. A DVD rental would be good for this one because it does have some hilarious parts but it wasn't funny enough to go see in theaters.

Monte Carlo

When Grace finally gets to go to her trip to Paris she finds that her tour is a flop, the bus leaves them at the eiffel tower and they have to walk to find there way back to the hotel. They stop at a nice hotel to get cleaned up. When Grace gets mistaken for celebrity Cordilla the girls find themselves in trouble and have to find a way out of it.

This movie had the same concept of the Lizzie McGuire movie. There was no singing involved in the film which is a shame because Selena Gomez has a great voice! The actress Leighton Meester was too old to be put in that movie. The romances were somewhat cute but all the drama that was involved in them it took away the cute factor of the relationship. The film wasn't all that good. I would not reccomend wasting your money to see it in the theaters but if you are a huge fan of selena gomez then do a redbox rental because it wasn't good enough to buy on DVD.

Something Borrowed

This movie was pretty good overall, it was defenitley a chick flick and the ending was different from what you would expect. I would reccomend this for DVD rental. The reason I gave this film the rating it did was because the wasn't alot of fun stuff that happened in the movie, it was mostly all drama which keeps you interested but it jsut didn't cut it for me

Mr.Poppers Penguins

Mr. Poppers Penguins is based off of the book tells the story of how Mr. Popper got 6 penguins living with him. His father dies and sends him penguins, he was going to get rid of them but then his kids end up enjoying the penguins which means Mr. Popper gets more time with his kids. The penguins end up laying eggs and only 1 did not hatch so Mr. Popper got rid of them and then gets them back for his kids.

This movie was a cute movie! Definitely family friendly. Jim Carrey was a good pick for the role of Mr. Popper. The storyline was fun and had an element of disappointment which was overcome. I would recommend this movie if you are looking for a movie to go to as a family. It is one that would make a good movie night at the house too!

X-Men:First Class

X-Men First class tells the story of Professor X and how the X-Men team came to be. It also tells how some of the X-Men got their powers.

This movie was very well made. It was not overdone with special effects which I enjoyed and the storyline was easy to follow. This is one that is fun to see in theaters but would also be very enjoyable to see at home. This gives insight to how X-Men came to be. I don’t have a whole lot to say about this movie, but it was good one.

Fast five

Fast Five is the 5th movie in the fast and furious series. This movie tells the story of Dominic and his crew getting money from one of the most powerful guys in Rio, with a team of people they set up a plan to make this happen. This movie has a set-up for a sixth fast and furious movie!

I really enjoyed this movie, It had a well thought out story line and all the characters were developed. This is a fun movie to see, you will get a better thrill from the movie seeing it in the theater but if you wait until it comes to DVD, you will still get a feel for the movie. This is one that is worth a $10 night time showing! If you see this movie comment and let me know what you thought!

Kung Fu Panda 2

Kung Fu Panda 2 tells the story of how Po became Po, his life story and through symbols he learns who he is and finds out that his life is great just the way it is and finds his center and is able to defeat the character who killed his parents.

This movie was definitley set up for a 3rd movie, This is a movie that I call a "prequel-sequel" because it has the furious 5 in it which we wouldnt know about without the first movie but it mainly is the story of Po's childhood. It was a very cute, family movie! I had the pleasure of seeing this movie in 3-D which I can honestly say was not all that impressive! It does not have enough pop out to pay an extra $3 for! Save your money! If you want a good movie for a family movie night, I reccomend this movie, This is a movie that is fun to see in theaters but you would get the same effect of it from watching it on DVD. The Hangover Part 2

The hangover part 2 tells the story of the wolfpack reuniting for Stu's wedding. While having a beer and roasting marshallows around the campfire for his bacholor party, something goes wrong. They wake up in Bangkok with no recollection of what had happened, they find a monkey, a finger, and cho in a motel. They lose Stu's fiance's brother, through there journey many bad things happen but in the end they end up finding his brother and Mike Tyson appears in the movie as well.

This movie was a repeat of the first one in a different country and a some of the situations are worse, it had some hilarious moments but it is NOT worth paying $10 to see! Maybe $5 if you really loved the first one. Redbox is the best way to go for this movie if you don't want to spend alot of money seeing it. If you see it leave a comment and tell me what you thought!

A wealthy man is told to marry a girl named Susan who he is not in love with otherwise he would lose his inheritence. He proposes to her to keep the money but ends up falling for another girl who is not wealthy and not who his parents would like him to marry. He gives up his money to be able to live with her.

This movie had some funny quotes. Russel Brand was a good pick for the actor. Very well done, One that I would reccomend seeing when your in the mood for a movie that is sweet and funny.

Source Code

The main character in this movie wakes up on a train unaware of what he is doing and how he got there. He is a different man on the train. The train expolodes and he goes back into the capsule where one of the military personal is explaining to him what has to happen. The whole movie is based on taking one man, making him go into another mans body to try to stop a terrorist attack. He ends up falling in love which ruins the plan of just having the source code be for military purposes.

This movie was really good but the ending leaves you stumped, It is almost like the end of Inception you get lost. I really enjoyed seeing this movie, You could get the same effect watching on DVD as you would seeing it in the theater but it was an enjoyable movie.

Hanna

This was a hard film to write a summary for because its hard to describe the movie without giving away key points. The trailer for this movie was not intriguing at all!! But I decided to go see it and to my surprise the movie was amazing! I would defenitly reccomend going to see it! If you are nott good with seeing people getting killed than this would not be your best choice of film to go see. Ifyou do happen to go see this film comment below on what you thought of it

SuckerPunch

3.3 out of 5 SuckerPunch is the story of a girl that her mom gets killed and her stepfather is an alcholic who tries to rape her sister so she takes a gun and tries to kill the stepfather. She turns out not shooting the stepfather but since she knows what he has tried to do he calls the cops and has her taken to a mental institution. She ends up staying there until they move her to a brothel. In the brothel she meets 4 girls that are also there named Amber, Sweetpea, Rocket, and Blondie while meeting them she recieves the nickname Babydoll. Babydoll hears Rocket screaming for help because the chef was trying to hurt her and ends up saving her. After seeing that Babydoll decides that she is going to escape and gets the other girls involved in the plan. Whenever she has to dance on stage the scene changes to a battlefield which is what they have to go through in order to get the five elements nessacary to escape. A key, A Map, A Knife, Fire and the fifth thing is a mystery. They are able to get the Map, Fire and Knife(In the attemot to get the knife Rocket dies) but before they have a chance of getting the key, Blondie tells Bloo(The man in charge of the facility) the plan and ends up getting Amber and blondie killed. While Bloo is telling Babydoll the rules she kills him, gets the key to all the exits and is able to escape the facility with Sweetpea. The sacrifice is herself, She has to sacrifice herself in order to let sweetpea escape and get back to her family. Bloo ends up only being hurt and decides that she can't have girls trying to escape so he kills her with a medical procedure which he forged the signature to. Bloo goes to jail and one girl ends up getting to go home and see her family. This was not at all what I was expecting, especially from the previews! I really like the action scenes!!! The backgrounds made you feel like you wanted a remote control! And the girls did some pretty rockin' moves! I was a little confused at some parts because they switch locations 3 times and they dont give any information on how they switched spots. The trailer sets you out for a really cool action film but the story line turns out to be quite sad. I would suggest if you are going to see this either go during the daytime or wait until it goes to DVD because this is one that I did somewhat like but didn't feel that it was worth $10. The girls that they picked had good actiong skills but I noticed that they were there mainly to be eyecandy even though they are the main characters. One thing that I absolutely Loved in the movie was the soundtrack to the film!! If you get a chance to listen to it, I highly reccomend chaecking it out!! :D If you have seen the film comment and let em know what you thought!

Limitless

What would you do if you could take a pill and have the power to use all of your brain? Well that’s the idea behind the movie Limitless. Eddie Morra played by Bradley Cooper is having a hard life; he isn’t able to focus on his writing, just broke up with his girlfriend and isn’t making enough to pay his rent. One day he bumps into an old friend who gives him a pill named NZT48 and he takes it. when he takes it he is able to access his brain to its full potential, which in turn makes him become super successful and rich but along this trail of fortune and being smarter than most people he encounters many enemies and ends up with side effects due to NZT48. I highly recommend seeing this movie while it is in theaters! It has action, romance, suspense, and drama. It will have twists and turns that you won’t expect and will keep you intrigued throughout the whole film!

Rango

Rango! Who is he? where did he come from? Rango is the story of a chamillion who ends up being stuck in the desert and has to use the help from friends and the spirt of the west to save the town's water supply. This is a childrens movie all the way! I was lucky enough to be able to go review this movie, It was family friendly but unless you are big on cartoons and childrens movies, you won't enjoy it. Johnny Depp had a really good voice for the role! The characters were well developed! I would have to say that this was a movie that you would get the same effect watching it at home as you would watching it in the movie theater. The reason I gave it the rating it did was because when I saw it, it seemed like I was a really long movie, It kept my attention but I was starting to get bored as it got closer to the end.

Hall Pass

What exactly is a Hall Pass? A Hall Pass is a pass for a week off of marrige with no consequences. The concept let the men attempt to re-live their "glory days". In this movie 2 guys get a hall pass and spend the week trying to pick up girls becuase they know they can't get in trouble for it. Through a series of events, they end up getting into mischeif and almost getting arrested. The ending was cute. I did think the movie was hilarious! even though most of the time I was laughing due to the stupidity of it. I would definitly say this is a movie for mature audiences (Hence the "R" rating) It would make a fun guys night out movie and depending on what your comfortable with it might make a good date movie for adults.

I am number 4 is the story of a boy from a different planet who is number 4 and he ends up going to public school where there he finds out that he has powers. He falls in love with a girl and becomes friends with a guy who finds out about his powers and they all have to team up together to defeat "The Capturers" While they are fighting the capturers they are introduced to number 6 and find out that his dog is from his planet and helps him defeat the bad guys.

I enjoyed the special effects in the movie and the storyline was very easy to follow! I would have to say that this is one that you would get the same effect watching it on DVD as you would in the theater

No Strings Attached

This is the story of 2 friends who after many years end up running into eachother and find out that they can both help eachother out with "benifits" and after being sex friends for so long he ends up falling for her but she breaks up with him because she doesn't believe that love can last but through the twisits and turns in the story they end up finding out that they both love eachother. The storyline for this film was great and the acting was really good! I would reccomend this movie for a date night. It has comedy, drama, and romance all wrapped up into one story.

Rated R for sexual content, language and some drug material

The Green Hornet

This is the story of a Britt Reed, Son to the owner of one of the biggest newspapers in LA but when Britt's dad mysteriously dies he has to take over the company. He becomes aquantinces with Kato who was the mechanic for Mr.Reed and they tag team to get back at Britt's father for being soon mean but soon find out that they can be a help to the city and stop crime. They create the Green Hornet and make a car called the black beauty in order to defeat some of the biggest criminals in LA. I really enjoyed the green hornet! I was not extremely impressed with the storyline of the film though. The main reason I loved this film was because of the action and the car. I would not say that this is a movie you would enjoy for the storyline or the acting but definitely for the car and action scenes! It was well worth seeing in theaters because the big screen makes you get a good feel for the action

True Grit

True Grit is the story of a 14 year old girl who sets out to get revenge on the man that killed her father with Cogburn and Labouf as her partners. This movie did a great job at keeping true to the old west with the setting, costumes, sounds, and transportation, I was very impressed with that aspect of the film. I saw this version of the film before watching the original and I did not think it went into great detail about the story as much as the original did. This is a movie I would say that you can wait until it comes to DVD to see
